california roll

If you are looking for a Sunday activity, head on over to UC Berkeley where a group of food lovers will try and make the world’s longest California roll.

Sushi lovers are gathering at Sather Gate at 11:30 to 12:30 and will line up along 56 tables to squeeze, press, and push various ingredients into a roll that will beat the reigning 300-foot roll created in Hawaii eight years ago.

And the best part may be eating the California roll after the competition is completed.

The sushi-a-thon is sponsored by Cal Dining and the Institute for East Asian Studies.
