  3. What could be better than Bach? The St. John Passion, not St. Matthew, performed by the American Bach Soloists, Saturday, 8 p.m. at First Congregational Church.
  4. Hamentaschen, yum: The Purim Festival includes puppets, songs, stories and a costume parade. Sunday, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Jewish Community Center of the East Bay.
