From early this morning, pickets were out at the main entrances to the University of California Berkeley for the Day of Action to protest cuts to education, K-12, community college and university, in California. At the Hearst entrance, about 20 picketers were handing out leaflets and encouraging passersby to join today’s protest. Bus and truck drivers gave blasts of their horns in support.

Running coverage of today’s events can be found at the Daily Californian’s website. The Daily Cal is also doing regular Twitter updates. Calendars of protest events can be found both at the Reclaim UC site and at the Defend CA Public Education blog.
