On Sunday, March 28 AC Transit will implement major service changes to its bus routes and schedules in Berkeley. The changes will reduce service overall by 8.4% and are the result of reduced state funding, declining sales tax revenue and “other economic factors”. In a nutshell, these are the changes to Berkeley bus routes:

  • New: 25, 49, 51B, 52
  • Discontinued: 9, 15, 19, 51, 52L, 79
  • Routes significantly changed: 7, 88, F

On Thursday, March 18, AC Transit will staff an information table in front of the Downtown Berkeley Public Library from 2:30-6:30 pm to answer questions from the public.
