With spring in the air, there’s a rush of new home listings in Berkeley. A quick search found 25 homes had come on the market in the past three days alone.
My pick for the week has to be 1120 Miller Avenue in the north Berkeley hills. I have a weakness for this style of 1930s home with its clean lines and large, black-metal framed windows. There’s also a nice Californian vibe about the wood paneling and who wouldn’t covet those gorgeous Bay views?
Add to that the large landscaped lot (0.28 acres), the generous size of the home (2,846 sq ft) and the flexible floorplan, and I must admit to being a little weak-kneed over this one.
Price: $1,300,000 ($457/sq ft).
