Two Berkeley High School safety officers were injured this afternoon while breaking up a fight between six females, three of whom are students at the high school, the Daily Cal is reporting.

Berkeley Police Department Officer Jamie Perkins said at least three campus officers responded to the incident, which took place at about 12:42 p.m., and two were injured in the process, one sustaining  a laceration to his lip.

Perkins said the Berkeley police officer assigned to the high school was not on campus today and that she did not believe any of those involved in the incident were transported to a hospital.
