Food on display at last year's Taste of the East Bay event.

More than 40 restaurants, wineries and breweries will be participating in Taste of the East Bay this Saturday at the Berkeley City Club on Durant Avenue.

They include 1515 Restaurant Lounge, Angeline’s Louisiana Kitchen, Bakesale Betty, Bay Wolf, Claremont Resort & Spa, Hagafen Cellars, Limerick Lane Cellars, Scott’s Seafood Restaurant and Wood Tavern.

The Alta Bates Summit Foundation is putting on the event to benefit Thunder Road, a nonprofit chemical dependency recovery hospital in Oakland that serves 6,000 young people annually, and the Carol Ann Read Breast Health Center, which serves more than 20,000 women annually for screening and diagnostic services.

The event is on Saturday, 6-9pm, and the cost is $75 per person. Tickets can be bought on the Alta Bates website.
