This coming weekend, from Friday 4 to Sunday 6, Berkeley Bowl West will be celebrating its first-year anniversary.
BBW has rapidly become a favorite Berkeley destination with twitterers galore regularly extolling the quality of its produce department and the store’s pleasing architecture. Citizens tend to be strictly divided, however, between those who are faithful to the original store, on Oregon at Shattuck, which has a idiosyncratic charm all of its own, and the gleaming new food mecca in west Berkeley.
BBW’s first birthday will be marked with a host of festivities including deals throughout the store. Many of the store’s vendors will be on hand to meet customers and grab-bags of goodies will be given away as prizes.
