A truck collided with a fire hydrant on Saturday July 3 in south Berkeley at Shattuck and Carleton. Berkeleyside contributing photographer Keoki Seu was on hand to document the result.

Seu reported that firefighters had trouble switching off the small valves and that water spewed out approximately 30 feet into the air. It took about an hour for the fire department to get the water turned off.
