When I posted the fabulous photos by Daniel Parks, Danielle Peña and Maureen Sullivan under the headline, The best sunset ever?, a good number of people responded on Twitter with rival images. That was fun. But what stopped me in my tracks was Jef Poskanzer’s pointer to his photo of the sunset on December 31, 2007 (above). Click on the image and you’ll see a stream of of photos that commenters have placed on Poskanzer’s page with other pictures of that New Year’s Eve sunset. Contest over, surely.
