Artist Jana Bouc remembers back in the 70s when her dog, Kangaroo, used to play with her Berkeley neighbor Denny’s dog who was called Zut.
Today, the late Zut is memorialized with a new restaurant on Fourth Street that bears his name — owned, of course, by the brains behind Fourth Street, developer Denny Abrams.

Bouc was down on Fourth Street the other evening painting these wonderful watercolors.

Of the window display depicted above, she writes on her Jana’s Journal blog: “I always enjoy sketching mannequins in shop windows and this one at A La Folie displaying expensive undies didn’t disappoint.”
