The UC Police report that at 2.27am today, Wednesday November 24, an armed robbery occurred in the 2100 block of Bancroft Way. Both 21-year-old suspects in the case have been apprehended and taken into custody.
The male victim was walking when he was approached by two suspects on foot. The first suspect brandished what appeared to be a handgun but was later determined to be a B.B. gun. The suspects demanded the victim’s cash and cell phone. The victim complied and both suspects fled on foot west bound on Bancroft.
Approximatley 15 minutes later, both suspects were detained by UCPD officers at the corner of Milvia Street and Durant Avenue. Both suspects were positively identified by the victim, and taken into custody by Berkeley Police Department.
