The Bay Area was awash with Santas on Saturday, as hundreds of people took to the streets of Berkeley, San Francisco, and other environs dressed in that familiar red and white outfit.

The Santa sightings were part of SantaCon, an annual event that encourages ordinary people to dress up like Santa and drink and local bars.

The Santas in the picture were spotted Saturday afternoon on Oxford near University by videographer Tanya Miller. When I drove past Polk Street in San Francisco around 3 pm on Saturday, the street was crowded with Santas.

Update, 14.35: We have identified the happy Santas, thanks to reader Stacey. They are, from left to right: Kelley L Cox, KC Fox and Doug Pederson.
