The Cal campus is not a den of drug-addled inequity — or at least not compared to many other universities around the country — if a league table published by The Daily Beast is to be believed.

In its recently released Top 50 “Druggiest College” rankings, UC Berkeley placed 46th — a more than respectable position if you cling to the belief that all that money you’re putting towards your kid’s tuition fees isn’t being squandered on marijuana brownies and ecstasy tablets.

Cal was graded a C+ for drugginess — last year apparently there were 103 drug-related arrests on campus at a university with a population of 35,830. Oh, and if you’re wondering which campus gets the dubious honor of being ranked number 1? It’s the University of New Hampshire which gets a C- grade.
