Berkeley police are looking for a 21-year old man who is suspected of punching and choking a woman and then firing gunshots at the car in which she fled.
On Jan. 23, at approximately 1:22 pm, Brian Fox got into an argument with a woman in a home in the 1000 block of Woodside Avenue, according to police. He punched her and tried to choke her. She and a friend who was in the house fled by automobile, and Fox allegedly fired some shots at the car, according to police. The car was hit but the women were not hurt.
Berkeley police issued this statement:
“BPD is actively looking for Fox and this investigation continues.
If any community member has any information regarding this case or the whereabouts of Fox, please call the BPD Homicide Detail at (510) 981-5741. If you see Fox, do not approach him, call 911 and provide as much information as to his clothing, location, direction walking, driving (what type of car) and anything else that may be relevant. Please mention this informational message to the dispatcher – Case #11-4509- as this will assist officers greatly in arresting him.
