Scout Design is moving its retail store from Temescal to Berkeley and is set to open at 3088 Claremont Avenue on June 6th. The store is currently in the middle of making the move and is closed for business.
Scout Design offers staging and design services, and its self-described “home hardware emporium” at 5026 Telegraph Avenue sells a mix of vintage furniture pieces, lighting, hardware and environmentally friendly paints.
The space on Claremont Avenue was until recently occupied by Bay Area Properties, and is sandwiched between Dark Carnival and The Escapist, two bookstores owned by Jack Rems.
The new Scout store will also be neighbors with Semifreddi’s coffee shop and The Grubb Company. Scout’s owners were unavailable for comment.
