The second Fall Free for All, a start-of-season celebration for Cal Performances, will be held this Sunday at various venues on the Cal campus from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The most popular event on the day — where, as the name implies — everything is free, will be an appearance by actress Jane Lynch, best known for her compelling character on the hit show Glee (and host, last Sunday, of the Emmy Awards). Lynch will be talking about her new book, Happy Accidents, at the Pauley Ballroom at 2:30 p.m. Wristbands for admission to Lynch’s talk will be available on a first-come, first-served basis from 11 a.m. at the Cal Student Store in the Student Center.
Other highlights include performances by the New Century Chamber Orchestra, AXIS Dance Company, CK Ladzekpo West African Music and Dance Ensemble, and the Berkeley Symphony Wind Ensemble — all in Zellerbach Hall. The day opens with a fanfare by the Cal Band at 10:30 a.m. in Lower Sproul Plaza. Numerous student groups will be performing outside at various spots on the campus.
The full schedule is on the Free for All site.
