We received the following email at 9:10pm tonight:
Dear Berkeleyside — Can you help?
Our beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Obi (as in Obi Wan Kenobi) got out of our North Berkeley yard today when some workmen left the gates open. He is a sweet dog, almost all white with brown on his head and a brown spot on his tail. He weighs 23 lbs. and is a rescue, new to us and without a microchip yet. He wasn’t wearing his collar and is probably frantic with worry. As are we.
He was last seen by a neighbor near the Rose Garden. I’ve included a picture here.
