Update, 9:04 am: Mark Wasserman is this week’s winner. This is the rolled steel gate at the Berkeley Arts Magnet K-5 school which is located within the Whittier School. According to Neil Mishalov, who took the photo, the location of the ‘Poetry Garden’ gate is 1645 Milvia Street, just south of Lincoln Street. Across the street from the Poetry Garden is 1624 Milvia Street. It used to be the site of a house with a cottage in the rear. Allen Ginsberg lived in the cottage starting in September 1955 during his stay in Berkeley. The house and cottage have since been demolished; the site is now occupied by a multi-unit residential building.

Congratulations, Mark, on being this week’s winner!
