Update 4:00 p.m. According to Sgt. David White from the Berkeley Police Department, a citizen call was received at 7:45 a.m. this morning where a body in the water at the south end of the marina was reported. Police and fire responded to the call. The fire department declared the adult male dead at the scene. According to White, there was no sign of foul play. No further information is available at this time.

Original story: Police and investigators from the Alameda County coroner’s bureau have recovered the body of a male that washed up in the Berkeley Marina Saturday morning, according to the coroner’s bureau.

The identity of the man has not yet been determined, according to a spokesperson at the coroner’s bureau, so no further information is currently available.
