Armed Robbery, College Avenue and Parker Street, #12-16735
On Thursday, March 29, 2012 at approximately 9:28 p.m. an armed robbery occurred on College Avenue near Parker Street. The 19 year old female victim was listening to music on her iPhone when the male suspect ran up to her from behind. The suspect pointed a gun at her and demanded her iPhone. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene on foot westbound on Parker. BPD officers did an area check but were unable to locate the suspect or the iPhone. The victim was not injured during the encounter.
The suspect is described as a black male, 19 to 22 years of age, with a dark complexion, approximately 5’05” in height, with a thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

- Between Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 9:48 a.m. and Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 1:13 p.m., BPD officers responded to 18 welfare checks of community members and individuals in the City of Berkeley.
- Between Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 3:39 a.m. and Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 4:32 p.m., BPD made 24 pedestrian stops of individuals throughout the city. Officers conducted records checks of the men and women for any wants, warrants, probation and/or parole status and conditions, missing person and restraining orders. Officers arrested one individual for violation of 647(f) PC – Drunk in Public, one individual for an outstanding warrant and one individual for a prior case. Officer issued several BMC – Berkeley Municipal Code or Business & Professions Code citations to the 24.
- Between Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 2:46 p.m., BPD responded, investigated and documented 13 battery cases.
