June 17

Welfare Check becomes Drunk in Public, Probation Violation Arrest – #2012-32138
On Sunday, June 17, 2012 at 1:22 .a.m., a BPD officer responded to a report of a person down in the 1100 block of Bancroft Way. The officer arrived and located a 33 year old male asleep in a driveway. The officer determined that the subject was too intoxicated to care for himself. The officers arrested the Berkeley man for violation of 647(f) PC and 1203.2 PC.

June 18

Tip Jar theft leads to Parole Violation – #2012-32445
On Monday, June 18, 2012 at 10:26 p.m., BPD officers responded to a report of money stolen from a tip jar at a local business in the 2200 block of Shattuck Avenue. The suspect was located and after further investigation was arrested. The suspect a 41 year old man was arrested and booked for violation 484 PC, 422 PC and 3056 PC.

Robbery via Stun Gun – 2600 Block of Telegraph Avenue – #12-32429
On Monday, June 18, 2012 at 8:38 p.m., an unknown suspect entered a local business and demanded the cash from the register. The suspect brandished a stun gun at the employee. The employee did not give the suspect the money. The suspect took several food items and fled the business. The suspect was described as — Suspect  – “A black male adult, 25 years old, 5’10” tall, 180 lbs wearing a black baseball hat, black hooded sweatshirt and white T-shirt.”

June 21

Robbery via Gun – 2600 Block of Stuart Street – #12-32801
On Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 1:10 a.m., BPD officers responded to reports of screaming in the area of College Avenue and Stuart Street. Officers arrived on scene and located a male and female victim of a robbery. The victim’s were near their residence in the 2600 block of Stuart Street. Suspect #1 approached the  female victim and pointed a gun at her demanding their property. Suspect #2 and #3 approached knocking the male victim to the ground causing injury. The suspects removed the male victim’s wallet and cell phone.  he suspects also took the female victim’s purse. The suspects fled on foot east on Stuart towards College Avenue. The suspects were described as — Suspect #1 “A black male adult, mid 20’s, 6’ tall, slender build wearing a black T-shirt.” Suspect #2 “A black male adult, mid 20’s, 5’8” tall, medium build wearing dark clothing.” Suspect #3 “A black male adult, mid 20’s, medium build”. All three suspects were reported as being armed with “black guns”.

June 22

Residential Burglary via unlocked window – 3100 Block of Mabel Street – #12-33059
On Friday, June 22, 2012 at 10:45 a.m., an unknown suspect climbed through an open 2nd story window of a residential home. The suspect went through the home looking for items and rummaging through the victim’s property, taking cash and a camera. The suspect was seen fleeing the residence. The suspect was described as — Suspect: “A black male adult, 30’s, 5’10-6’ tall, medium build wearing a long sleeve black shirt, blue jeans carrying a black bag.”

June 23

Robbery – College Avenue and Dwight Way – #12-33295
On Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 4:40 p.m., a female was walking in the area of College Avenue and Dwight Way. The unknown suspect approached the victim and stole her cell phone using force. The suspect then fled the area with the victim’s property. The suspect was described as — Suspect: “A black male adult, 20’s, 5’10” tall, medium build, short hair wearing a baggy white T-shirt and jeans.”

June 24

Strong Arm Robbery, Channing Way and Fulton Street # 12-33530
On Sunday, June 24, 2012, at approximately 10:23 p.m., a strong arm robbery occurred at the intersection of Channing and Fulton. The 20 year old female victim, affiliation unknown, was at the intersection when she was approached by three females. The suspects knocked the victim to the ground, grabbed her purse and took several items from the purse. The suspects were last seen running eastbound on Channing Way. The victim described the suspects as: Suspect #1 – A Black female between the ages of 18 and 20, with a thin build, wearing a pink hooded sweatshirt. Suspect #2 – A Black female between the ages of 18 and 20, with a thin build, wearing dark clothing. Suspect #3 – A Black female with a thin build.
