The following items represent just a sampling of calls, and were selected by the Berkeley Police Department unless otherwise noted. Click to see past narratives from police, and Berkeleyside’s most recent compilation of calls for service.

March 10, Sunday: At approximately 3 p.m., the victim went out to her vehicle in the 2700 block of Fulton Street and discovered a window had been broken. A thief had stolen a flute and a computer bag containing documents from the car.

March 11, Monday: A robbery occurred in the 3300 block of Adeline Street at 11:50 p.m. The male victim was walking when he was approached by two strangers. One of the men, who was armed with a gun, struck the victim with the gun and caused minor injuries. The men stole the victim’s cell phone, backpack and wallet. Both robbers were described as black men ages 25 to 30 years old. One was about 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a skinny or medium build, medium-length hair and light facial hair; he was wearing a dark puffy jacket. The other, who had a medium build and light facial hair, was wearing a baseball hat and a hooded jacket.

March 12, Tuesday: A robbery occurred at 10:14 p.m. near Dana and Carleton streets. The female victim was walking when three strangers, two men and a woman, approached her from behind. One of the robbers grabbed her and knocked her down. The suspects punched and kicked the victim, and stole her cell phone and tablet. The men, who were described as black, appeared to be in their early 20s, stood 5 feet 9 inches tall and had a medium build; they were both wearing black hooded sweatshirts and jeans. One of the men had short black hair. The woman, who was described as black, also appeared to be in her early 20s . She was 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall, had a medium build and also was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

March 13, Wednesday: At approximately 11:10 p.m., a vandal went to a home, in the 2400 block of Seventh Street, that belonged to a past boyfriend or girlfriend. The suspect broke the windows to the victim’s vehicle using a brick. A witness, who watched the vandalism, detained the suspect until police arrived. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of vandalism to a vehicle.

March 14, Thursday: Between 9 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. a residential burglary took place in the 1500 block of Parker Street. The burglar forced open the rear door of a home and stole cash and a computer.

March 15, Friday: A fight occurred in the 2300 block of Bancroft Way at 8:45 a.m. The victim reported that a man, described as Filipino or Asian and in his 30s, was creating a disturbance. The suspect, who was about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 130 pounds, and was wearing black glasses and a maroon hat, approached the victim and started yelling at him. The suspect spit on the victim and started kicking him. The victim fought back and the suspect fled the area.

March 16, Saturday: A residential burglary occurred in the 2400 block of Ellsworth Street at 3:30 a.m. The burglar entered the victim’s home, possibly through an unlocked door, and stole the victim’s laptop.
