
This is a partial list of recent crimes in Berkeley, compiled by Berkeleyside, and based on reports to the Berkeley Police Department unless otherwise noted. See past crime blotters here. The following items represent just a sampling of calls, and times may be approximate. From March 21-27, there were 17 burglary reports, 17 auto break-in or theft from a vehicle reports, and 11 stolen vehicle reports to the Berkeley Police Department, according to CrimeMapping.com. Fourteen robberies and 13 assaults, domestic violence incidents or batteries were reported. These numbers are subject to change. Click the previous links for the most current information.
March 21, Thursday (click for the map)
Four auto burglaries or thefts from a vehicle were reported: at 9 a.m. at Berkeley Way and Shattuck Avenue; at 4 p.m. in the 400 block of Gilman Street; at 4:30 p.m. at La Loma Avenue and Ridge Road; and at 7 p.m. in the 800 block of Channing Way.
A misdemeanor sexual assault was reported at 1:40 p.m. in the 2100 block of Shattuck Avenue.
A home burglary was reported at 3 p.m. in the 1500 block of Allston Way.
Three robberies were reported: at 6:45 p.m. in the 1700 block of Oregon Street; at 9:55 p.m. at Parker Street and College Avenue; and at 11:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of 62nd Street.
Someone reportedly brandished a weapon at 7:56 p.m. in the 2900 block of Adeline Street.
March 22, Friday (click for the map)
Two auto burglaries were reported, at noon in the 1300 block of San Pablo Avenue and at 5 p.m. at Dana and Parker streets.
Four robberies were reported: at 5:05 p.m. in the 1800 block of Fourth Street; at 6:25 p.m. at Fulton Street and Channing Way; at 9:15 p.m. in the 2900 block of San Pablo Avenue; and at 9:55 p.m. in the 2400 block of Milvia Street.
A home burglary was reported at 7:30 p.m. in the 1800 block of Oxford Street.

March 23, Saturday (click for the map)
Three felony thefts (over $950) were reported: at midnight in the 2600 block of Durant Avenue; at 9:26 a.m. in the 1800 block of Fourth Street; and at 3 p.m. in the 2600 block of Derby Street.
Five home burglaries were reported: at 2 a.m. in the 2400 block of Prospect Street; at 4:45 a.m. in the 2400 block of Ellsworth Street; at 9:15 a.m. in the 3100 block of Ellis Street; at 1 p.m. in the 3000 block of King Street; and at 9 p.m. in the 2400 block of Fulton Street.
Two robberies were reported, at 12:50 p.m. at Adeline Street and Ashby Avenue, and at 1:30 p.m. at Woolsey and Ellis streets.
Two thefts from vehicles were reported, at 1:15 p.m. in the 1500 block of Stuart Street and at 9 p.m. in the 1200 block of Virginia Street.
A vehicle was reported stolen from the 2800 block of Fulton Street.
March 24, Sunday (click for the map)
A home burglary was reported at 12:15 a.m. in the 2300 block of Warring Street.
An auto burglary was reported at 1:30 p.m. at Fifth Street and University Avenue.
Two robberies were reported, at 8:10 p.m. in the 1500 block of Prince Street, and at 8:30 p.m. at College Avenue and Dwight Way.
A commercial burglary was reported at 9 p.m. in the 2100 block of Oxford Street.
March 25, Monday (click for the map)
A theft from a vehicle was reported at 2 a.m. in the 1100 block of Colusa Avenue.
A vehicle was reported to have been stolen at noon at Hearst Avenue and Second Street.
Two felony thefts, over $950, were reported: at 2:10 p.m. in the 2100 block of Shattuck Avenue, and at 6:26 p.m. in the 2300 block of Shattuck.
A home burglary was reported at 2:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Arlington Avenue.
A weapon was reported to have been brandished at 6:20 p.m. in the 1100 block of Fourth Street.
Two robberies were reported, at 7:39 p.m. at Warring Street and Dwight Way, and at 8 p.m. in the 2200 block of Russell Street.
The Oakland Police Department reported that officers responded at 9:45 p.m. to the area of Alcatraz and Telegraph Avenue on a report of an armed robbery. The victim and witnesses were able to direct officers to an AC Transit bus that the suspects used as their getaway vehicle. Officers were able to detain and arrested three juveniles (two buys and a girl) in connection with the robbery. Officers recovered the victim’s property, an iPad and cell phone. Police said one of the suspects had a replica gun.

March 26, Tuesday (click for the map)
Three commercial burglaries were reported: at 5:44 a.m. in the 1200 block of University Avenue; at 5:45 p.m. in the 1800 block of University; and at 7 p.m. in the 1100 block of University.
An arson was reported at 7:30 a.m. in the 1800 block of Carleton Street.
Five auto burglaries were reported: at 9:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of San Pablo Avenue; at 6:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Marina Boulevard; at 7 p.m. in the 1400 block of University; at 10 p.m. in the 1000 block of Euclid Avenue; and at 10:20 p.m. at Webster Street and College Avenue.
Two vehicles were reported to have been stolen, at 12:10 p.m. from Seventh and Harrison streets, and at 9 p.m. in the 1200 block of Ashby Avenue.
A felony theft (over $950) was reported at 7:10 p.m. in the 1400 block of Russell Street.
March 27, Wednesday (click for the map)
Seven vehicle were reported to have been stolen: at 1:05 a.m. from Grant Street and University; at 7 a.m. from the 100 block of Fairlawn Drive; at 1 p.m. from Dwight Way and Fifth Street; at 5:30 p.m. from the 1100 block of Laurel Street; at 9 p.m. from the 3100 block of Lewiston Avenue; and at 10 p.m. from both the 200 block of Northampton Avenue and the 2800 block of Shasta Road.
Three home burglaries were reported: at 1:44 a.m. in the 2900 block of Newbury Street; at 1:40 p.m. in the 1600 block of Shattuck Avenue; and at 2:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Tulare Avenue.
A commercial burglary was reported at 2:30 a.m. in the 2000 block of San Pablo Avenue.
Two felony assault/battery incidents were reported, at 8:15 a.m. in the 800 block of Bolivar Drive, and at 6:15 p.m. at Fairview and California streets.
A theft from a vehicle was reported at 10 a.m. in the 1100 block of Spruce Street.
A misdemeanor sexual assault was reported at 3:45 p.m. in the 1600 block of Shattuck.
An auto burglary was reported at 5:20 p.m. in the 1300 block of 10th Street.
A felony theft (over $950) was reported at 5:57 p.m. in the 900 block of Heinz Avenue.
A robbery was reported at 8:04 p.m. at Bancroft Way and Fulton Street.
