
This is a partial list of recent crimes in Berkeley, compiled by Berkeleyside, and based on reports to the Berkeley Police Department unless otherwise noted. See past crime blotters here. The following items represent just a sampling of calls, and times may be approximate. From March 28 to April 3, there were 14 burglary reports, 20 auto break-in or theft from a vehicle reports, and 15 stolen vehicle reports to the Berkeley Police Department, according to CrimeMapping.com. Eight robberies and 13 assaults, domestic violence incidents or batteries were reported. These numbers are subject to change. Click the previous links for the most current information.
March 28, Thursday
There were six reports of theft from a vehicle or auto burglary: in the 1300 block of Dwight Way; at Rose Street and Bonita Avenue; in the 1000 block of Keith Avenue; at Regal Road and Marin Avenue; at Henry Street and Berkeley Way; and in the 900 block of Regal Road.
There were three home burglary reports: at 2:30 a.m. in the 2100 block of Seventh Street; at 7:12 a.m. at Roosevelt Avenue and Channing Way; and at 5:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of Russell Street.
Four vehicles were reported stolen, at 3:25 p.m. from Stuart Street and Telegraph Avenue; at 5 p.m. from the 1100 block of Keith Avenue; at 10 p.m. from the 1900 block of Vine Street; and at 11 p.m. from the 500 block of Woodmont Avenue.
Two commercial burglaries were reported, at 8:15 p.m. in the 2900 block of College Avenue and at 9:40 p.m. in the 1900 block of San Pablo Avenue.
March 29, Friday
An arson was reported at 2:01 a.m. in the 1900 block of Shattuck Avenue.
A commercial burglary was reported at 3:35 a.m. in the 2300 block of Fifth Street.
Two robberies were reported, at 7:15 a.m. at Potter Street and Bolivar Drive, and at 11:20 a.m. at Blake Street and San Pablo Avenue.
Two home burglaries were reported, at 10:30 a.m. in the 1500 block of Woolsey Street, and at 2:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Creston Road.
Five vehicles were reported stolen, in the 200 block of University Avenue, in the 3000 block of Sacramento Street, in the 500 block of Avenida Drive, in the 1300 block of Curtis Street and in the 1500 block of Sixth Street.
A gun or weapon was reported at 5:43 p.m. at 59th Street and Shattuck Avenue.
A felony assault or battery was reported at 11:32 p.m. in the 1900 block of Ninth Street.

March 30, Saturday
Three vehicles were reported stolen, at 12:30 a.m. from Harmon and Adeline streets, at 3 a.m. in the 2000 block of Sixth Street, and at 7:30 p.m. from the 2400 block of Roosevelt Avenue.
A felony assault or battery was reported at 2:51 a.m. at University Avenue and Fourth Street.
A felony theft (over $950) was reported in the 700 block of Grizzly Peak Boulevard.
March 31, Sunday
Three home burglaries were reported, at 4:10 a.m. in the 2500 block of Piedmont Avenue; at 4:30 a.m. in the 2700 block of Dwight Way; and at 10 a.m. in the 900 block of Mendocino Avenue.
Two auto burglaries were reported, at 3:30 p.m. at Camelia and Sixth streets, and at 5 p.m. in the 1200 block of Euclid Avenue.
Three vehicles were reported stolen, at 6 p.m. from the 2600 block of Etna Street; at 10 p.m. from Mabel and Carrison streets; and at 11 p.m. from the 1400 block of Dwight Way.

April 1, Monday
A home burglary was reported at 12:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of Harmon Street.
Four auto burglaries were reported, one at 6 p.m. in the 1400 block of Catherine Drive, two at 8:30 p.m. at College Avenue and Russell Street, and one at 10 p.m. in the 3300 block of Adeline Street.
A robbery was reported at 10 p.m. in the 2000 block of Channing Way.
April 2, Tuesday
Two robberies were reported, at 1:30 a.m. at Bancroft Way and Telegraph Avenue, and at 6:34 p.m. in the 2100 block of Woolsey Street.
Five thefts from vehicles or auto burglaries were reported, in the 2900 block of Florence Street, the 2400 block of Ellsworth Street, the 2200 block of Virginia Street, the 1700 block of Fourth Street, and at Claremont and Avalon avenues.
April 3, Wednesday
A commercial burglary was reported at 4:37 a.m. in the 1200 block of University Avenue.
A home burglary was reported at 9 a.m. in the 3100 block of California Street.
Three robberies were reported, at 2:39 p.m. in the 2200 block of Parker Street, at 6 p.m. at Eighth Street and Hearst Avenue, and at 9:01 p.m. in the 2900 block of Hillegass Avenue.
Three auto burglaries were reported, at 4:20 p.m. in the 1300 block of Addison Street, at 5 p.m. in the 2400 block of Ridge Road, and at 9 p.m. in the 2400 block of Dowling Place.
A gun or weapon was reported at 4:24 p.m. in the 700 block of Alcatraz Avenue.
