
This is a partial list of recent crimes in Berkeley, compiled by Berkeleyside, and based on reports to the Berkeley Police Department unless otherwise noted. See past crime blotters here. The following items represent just a sampling of calls, and times may be approximate. From April 25 to May 1, there were 23 burglary reports, 13 auto break-in or theft from a vehicle reports, and 17 stolen vehicle reports to the Berkeley Police Department, according to CrimeMapping.com. Six robberies and 13 assaults, domestic violence incidents or batteries were reported. These numbers are subject to change. Click the previous links for the most current information.
April 25, Thursday
There were two thefts or burglaries from vehicles, at 12:01 a.m. at Regent Street and Dwight Way, and at 7:50 p.m. at Harold Way and Alston Way.
A robbery was reported at 5:06 a.m. in the 1600 block of University Avenue.
Four home burglaries were reported: at 10 a.m. in the 1600 block of 62nd Street; at 12:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Montrose Road; at 2 p.m. in the 2000 block of Cedar Street; and at 5 p.m. in the 2300 block of Durant Avenue.
Two vehicles were reported stolen, at 1 p.m. from Haste and Bowditch streets, and at 7 p.m. in the 2700 block of Garber Street.
April 26, Friday
A commercial burglary was reported a 12:01 a.m. in the 1100 block of Second Street.
Four vehicles were reported stolen: at 12:01 a.m. from Piedmont Avenue and Parker Street; at 5 a.m. from the 3300 block of California Street; at 6 p.m. from the 1100 block of Francisco Street; and at 11:30 p.m. from the 2600 block of Regent Street.
A robbery was reported at 6:50 a.m. in the 1700 block of Alcatraz Avenue.
Six home burglaries were reported: at 9:20 a.m. in the 1200 block of Queens Road; at 10:55 a.m. in the 2000 block of Emerson Street; at 3:15 p.m. in the 2000 block of Del Norte Street; at 5 p.m. in the 700 block of Tamalpais Road; at 6:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of Russell Street; and at 9:36 p.m. in the 1600 block of Ninth Street.
A felony assault/battery was reported at 11:20 p.m. in the 1200 block of Ashby Avenue.

April 27, Saturday
A robbery was reported at 12:30 a.m. in the 2900 block of Channing Way.
A vehicle was reported stolen at 6:15 a.m. from the 1500 block of Campus Drive.
A theft from a vehicle was reported at 9:45 a.m. in the 400 block of Gilman Street.
A commercial burglary was reported at noon in the 1100 block of Second Street.
Two home burglaries were reported, at 12:50 a.m. in the 200 block of Tunnel Road, and at 1:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of Fulton Street.
April 28, Sunday
An auto burglary was reported at 12:15 p.m. in the 100 block of Seawall Drive.
A home burglary was reported at 1:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of Tyler Street.
Two vehicles were reported stolen, at 9:30 p.m. from the 3000 block of Claremont Avenue, and at 10 p.m. from the 1700 block of Parker.
A felony assault/battery was reported at 10 p.m. at Durant Avenue and Bowditch Street.
April 29, Monday
Three thefts or burglaries from vehicles were reported: at 8 a.m. in the 2200 block of Derby Street; at 8:30 p.m. in the 2600 block of Milvia Street; and at 10 p.m. at Prince and Tremont streets.
A vehicle was reported stolen at 11:45 a.m. from the 1800 block of Walnut Street.
Two robberies were reported, at 12:05 p.m. at University Avenue and Milvia, and at 12:50 p.m. at Telegraph Avenue and Haste Street.
Two home burglaries were reported, at 12:45 p.m. in the 700 block of Spruce Street, and at 6:35 p.m. in the 1500 block of Stuart Street.
A commercial burglary was reported at 10:47 p.m. in the 2200 block of Ninth Street.

April 30, Tuesday
Three auto burglaries were reported: at 2:38 a.m. in the 900 block of University; at 11 a.m. in the 1200 block of Euclid Avenue; and at 11:25 p.m. in the 2000 block of Bancroft Way.
Three vehicles were reported stolen: at 9:48 a.m. from the 2300 block of San Pablo Avenue; at noon from the 2700 block of Ashby Avenue; and at 5:45 p.m. from the 1100 block of San Pablo.
Three home burglaries were reported: at 12:30 p.m. in the 1800 block of 63rd Street; at 1:46 p.m. in the 1100 block of Hopkins Street; and at 8:45 p.m. in the 1000 block of Sierra Street.
A robbery was reported at 1:07 p.m. in the 2300 block of Dwight Way.
A felony assault/battery was reported at 6:56 p.m. in the 1700 block of Sixth Street.
A gun or weapon was reported at 10:28 p.m. in the 1700 block of Highland Place.
May 1, Wednesday
Two thefts or burglaries from vehicles were reported, at 12:01 a.m. in the 1900 block of Harmon Street, and at 7:19 p.m. at Russell Street and College Avenue.
An arson was reported at 12:50 a.m. in the 1200 block of San Pablo Avenue.
A commercial burglary was reported at 2 a.m. in the 2100 block of Center Street.
A gun or weapon was reported at 8:30 a.m. in the 2200 block of Bonar Street.
A misdemeanor sexual assault was reported at 12:40 p.m. in the 2400 block of Stuart Street.
Four vehicles were reported stolen: at 4 p.m. from the 2700 block of Shasta Road; at 5 p.m. from the 600 block of Hilldale Avenue; at 6 p.m. from the 1400 block of Berkeley Way; and at 11:35 p.m. from the 1600 block of Grant Street.
A home burglary was reported at 6:01 p.m. in the 1500 block of Campus Drive.
