This is a partial list of recent crimes in Berkeley, compiled by Berkeleyside, and based on reports to the Berkeley Police Department unless otherwise noted. The following items represent just a sampling of calls, and times may be approximate. May 16, Thursday

A felony assault or battery was reported at 2:30 a.m. at Channing Way and Warring Street.

An arson was reported at 4:40 a.m. at 10th Street and University Avenue.

An auto burglary was reported at 11 a.m. in the 700 block of Page Street.

Two robberies were reported, at 1:20 p.m. in the 1600 block of Alcatraz Avenue and at 9 p.m. at Ashby Avenue and Mabel Street.

A vehicle was reported stolen at 6:27 p.m. in the 1400 block of Shattuck Avenue.

A commercial burglary was reported at 9:50 p.m. in the 1700 block of San Pablo Avenue.

May 17, Friday

Four thefts or burglaries from vehicles were reported: at 8 a.m. at an unlisted location; at 11 a.m. in the 2600 block of Channing Way; at 7 p.m. in the 2600 block of Warring Street; and at 9 p.m. in the 600 block of Cragmont Avenue.

Two robberies were reported, at 5:20 p.m. in the 2000 block of Parker Street, and at 10:12 p.m. at Milvia Street and Hearst Avenue.

A misdemeanor sexual assault was reported at 5:25 p.m. at Allston Way and McGee Avenue.

A vehicle was reported stolen at 9:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of Ward Street.

A home burglary was reported at 11:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of Euclid Avenue.

May 18, Saturday

A felony assault or battery was reported at 12:07 a.m. in the 1600 block of Russell Street.

A vehicle was reported stolen at 9 a.m. in the 900 block of Delaware Street.

A home burglary was reported at 7 p.m. in the 2600 block of Benvenue Avenue.

May 19, Sunday

Four robberies were reported: at 12:10 a.m. in the 1600 block of Ashby Avenue; at 5 a.m. at Channing and Atherton Street; at 11:30 a.m. in the 100 block of University Avenue; and at 9:25 p.m. in the 2700 block of Alcatraz Avenue.

Three burglaries from vehicles were reported: at 12:48 a.m. in the 2000 block of Kittredge Street; at 9:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Ashby; and at 10 p.m. in the 1800 block of Parker.

Three vehicles were reported stolen: at 1 a.m. at Oxford and Rose streets; at 2 a.m. at Fulton Street and Channing; and at 6 p.m. at an unlisted location.

An arson was reported at 1:58 a.m. in the 1100 block of Sutter Street.

Three home burglaries were reported: at 9 a.m. in the 1300 block of 66th Street; at 11 a.m. in the 2600 block of Grant Street; and at 4:40 p.m. in the 1600 block of Arch Street.

May 20, Monday

A felony sexual assault was reported at 1 a.m. in the 2500 block of Hillegass Avenue.

Five thefts or burglaries from vehicles were reported: at 6:12 a.m. at Avenida and Fairlawn drives; at 2 p.m. in the 2400 block of Durant Avenue; at 6 p.m. in the 2900 block of Claremont Avenue; at 7 p.m. in the 2900 block of Ashby; and at 8:15 p.m. at Dwight Way and Prospect Street.

Two home burglaries were reported, at 9 a.m. in the 600 block of Alvarado Road, and at 7:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Alvarado.

Five vehicles were reported to have been stolen: at 7:30 p.m. at Addison Street and Roosevelt Avenue; at 8 p.m. in the 600 block of Tamalpais Road; at 8 p.m. in the 500 block of Euclid Avenue; at 8 p.m. in the 100 block of Tamalpais; and at 11:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Grizzly Peak Boulevard.

A robbery was reported at 10:53 p.m. at Ashby and Piedmont avenues.

A vehicle was reported stolen at 3:30 a.m. in the 600 block of Grizzly Peak Boulevard.

Two home burglaries were reported, at 12:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of Dohr Street, and at 1:45 p.m. in the 100 block of Tamalpais Road.

May 22, Wednesday

Four thefts or burglaries from vehicles were reported: at 1 a.m. in the 2600 block of Derby Street; at 8 a.m. in the 3000 block of Harper Street; at 7 p.m. in the 1600 block of 63rd Street; and at 10:10 p.m. at Carleton and Eighth streets.

Three commercial burglaries were reported: at 4:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Gilman Street; at 5:13 p.m. in the 1400 block of Shattuck Avenue; and at 9:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Grayson Street.

A home burglary was reported at 6:05 p.m. in the 1700 block of Carleton.

Two vehicles were reported stolen, at 10:30 p.m. in the 1800 block of Vine Street, and at 11:15 p.m. at San Pablo and Virginia streets.
