
David Wilson, whose children and grandchildren have attended Berkeley’s Malcolm X School, volunteers there regularly. In an Opinionator piece published today, Wilson explains that, while he is not romanticizing the difficulties faced by this and other Berkeley public schools, his close observation of Malcolm X leads him to believe this elementary school exemplifies the best type of education against the odds.
