Update, 5:17 p.m. Police have canceled the alert, citing the work of a good Samaritan who found the missing woman at a local laundromat in Berkeley.

Original post, 4:34 p.m. The Berkeley Police Department is asking for help from the community to find a missing at-risk woman, according to an alert sent out Sunday afternoon via the Nixle network.

Antonia Rodriguez, 83, has been missing since noon from hospice care at 2223 Ashby Ave., in South Berkeley between Telegraph and Shattuck avenues.

She is Spanish-speaking, and has only limited English.

According to police, Rodriguez has been diagnosed with dementia and other medical issues.

She is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 95 pounds. She has gray hair and brown eyes.

Rodriguez was last seen wearing a black hat and a black-and-grey-striped sweater.

Police ask anyone with information about the woman to call 911 or call the Berkeley Police at 510-981-5900.
