From June 4-10, there were reports of four robberies16 burglaries16 assaults or batteries, two weapon-involved calls and one sexual assaults, according to CrimeMapping.com. There were also 17 stolen vehicles13 disturbances and 33 auto break-ins or thefts from vehicles reported. There were no significant incidents reported by the University of California Police Department (UCPD). These numbers are subject to change. Click the links for the latest numbers. The following items represent a sampling of calls, and times may be approximate; incidents that took place during a range of time are listed by the beginning of that time period.

Thursday, June 4

Police arrested Rodrick Long, 25, and Joshua Stanley, 23, at 12:15 a.m. on suspicion of second-degree burglary in connection with a commercial burglary about 45 minutes prior in the 1700 block of University Avenue.

Two businesses were burglarized, at 4:31 a.m. in the 700 block of Addison Street, and at 9:26 p.m. in the 900 block of Parker Street.

The Berkeley Fire Department responded to a fire on Parker Street west of Sacramento Street. According to Deputy Fire Chief Avery Webb, a call came in at 6:11 a.m. about a clothes dryer fire. A second caller then reported that the house was “fully engulfed.” Firefighters arrived to find an active fire, with flames visible from the street inside the 2-story home. “The fire was quickly knocked down, however, and declared ‘under control’ within 10 minutes of arrival,” said Webb. The fire had started in the dryer, and flames scorched the adjacent wall but did not penetrate the sheetrock. Fire and smoke damage was estimated at approximately $10,000. There were no reported injuries.

Two vehicles were stolen, at 7 a.m. in the 800 block of Regal Road, and at 11 p.m. in the 2400 block of Prospect Street.

A home was burglarized at 7:40 a.m. in the 1700 block of Virginia Street.

There were three disturbances: at 10:11 a.m. in the 1600 block of Virginia; at 1:58 p.m. in the 1900 block of Allston Way; and at 6:41 p.m. at Derby and Regent streets. Police arrested Marlin Norrise, 43, in connection with the incident at Derby and Regent on suspicion of indecent exposure and possession of a controlled substance.

Friday, June 5

There were three disturbance calls: at 3 a.m. in the 1500 block of Stuart Street; at 1:21 p.m. in the 1800 block of San Pablo Avenue; and at 2:20 p.m. in the 1500 block of Dwight Way.

Three vehicles were stolen: at 8 a.m. in the 2300 block of Piedmont Avenue; at 1:21 p.m. in the 1800 block of San Pablo Avenue; and at 2:20 p.m. in the 1500 block of Dwight.

A home was burglarized at 8:10 a.m. in the 1900 block of Sacramento Street.

There was a robbery at 9:31 p.m. in the 800 block of University Avenue.

Saturday, June 6

Two vehicles were stolen, at 7:50 a.m. at Belvedere Avenue and Rose Street, and at 9 p.m. in the 2300 block of Fifth Street.

A business was burglarized at 9 a.m. in the 2600 block of Shattuck Avenue.

There was a felony assault or battery at 2 p.m. in the 1800 block of Addison Street.

There were three home burglaries: at 4:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of Prince Street; at 6 p.m. in the 1400 block of Holly Street; and at 7 p.m. in the 1300 block of Hopkins Street.

Sunday, June 7

A business was burglarized at 3:40 a.m. in the 1800 block of Solano Avenue.

A home was burglarized at 11:30 a.m. in the 2600 block of Sacramento Street.

Four vehicles were stolen: at 3 p.m. in the 2000 block of Francisco Street; at 6:30 p.m. in the 2800 block of Milvia Street; at 9 p.m. in the 2000 block of Ashby Avenue; and at 11:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of Virginia.

Monday, June 8

Four vehicles were stolen: at 4:09 a.m. at San Pablo and Jones Street; at 4 p.m. in the 3100 block of Sacramento; at 6 p.m. in the 2200 block of Grant Street; and at 11:30 p.m. in the 2800 block of Grant. Police arrested Laquon Waker, 22, in connection with the incident at San Pablo and Jones on suspicion of vehicle theft.

Three homes were burglarized: at 7 a.m. in the 3100 block of Ellis Street; at 10 a.m. in the 2300 block of College Avenue; and at 9:20 p.m. in the 1800 block of Hearst Avenue.

There were two disturbance calls, at 9 a.m. in the 1200 block of Haskell Street, and at 7:14 p.m. at Shattuck Avenue and Haste Street.

There were two felony assaults or batteries, at noon in the 1600 block of Alcatraz Avenue, and at 11:49 p.m. in the 1600 block of Milvia Street.

Someone reportedly brandished a weapon at 1:45 p.m. in the 2300 block of San Pablo Avenue.

There were two commercial burglaries, at 5 p.m. in the 2200 block of Fourth Street, and at 10 p.m. in the 2200 block of Fifth Street.

From the BART police: A BART patron reported that his or her silver 2007 Honda CRV was burglarized while parked at the Ashby BART station between 7:30 a.m. and 5:51 p.m. The vehicle’s front passenger door window was shattered to gain entry. According to police, the thief took $1,500 in cash and a pair sunglasses.

There was a robbery at 9 p.m. in the 2300 block of Shattuck.

Tuesday, June 9

There were three disturbance calls: at 12:47 p.m. at Second and Virginia streets; at 4 p.m. in the 1400 block of Ada Street; and at 11:19 p.m. at Dwight Way and McGee Avenue.

There was a robbery at 1:49 p.m. in the 1800 block of San Pablo Avenue. Police arrested Darren Johnson, 49, of Berkeley on suspicion of robbery at 2:36 p.m.

There was a commercial burglary at 4:10 p.m. in the 2900 block of College Avenue.

Wednesday, June 10

There were two disturbance calls, at 7:10 a.m. at Second and Virginia, and at 12:40 p.m in the 1900 block of Allston Way.

A felony sexual assault took place at 11:11 a.m. in the 2000 block of San Pablo Avenue. (This incident was added after publication to reflect new data posted to CrimeMapping.com. It does not, therefore, appear on the map above.)

There was a robbery at 2:55 p.m. in the 1400 block of Shattuck Avenue.

Two vehicles were stolen, at 4:15 p.m. at Cedar Street and San Pablo Avenue, and at 8:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of Carlotta Avenue.

Police handled a call involving ammunition at 6:13 p.m. at Allston Way and Shattuck. Police arrested Hassan Harris, 42, on suspicion of being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition, check fraud and two misdemeanors.

Police arrested Anthony Beamon, 33, on suspicion of a range of violations related to drug and firearm possession. Berkeleyside has requested additional information from the Alameda County district attorney’s office.
