The Berkeley Police Department confirmed that there was a burglary at the shop, at 1045 Ashby Ave., reported at about 4:10 a.m. Saturday.
Berkeley Police spokeswoman Officer Jennifer Coats said officers were dispatched when the shop’s alarm went off, and found that the burglar had smashed the door with a brick to get inside.
“The suspect stole several thousand dollars worth of cameras and camera equipment,” said Coats. He then fled through the front door. No arrests have been made.
