“Where should we go for dinner?”

It’s a question we ask ourselves daily — along with where to go for breakfast, brunch, lunch and drinks — but the answer isn’t always easy.

We’re living in a restaurant boomtime — there have never been more (and better) choices for going out to eat in the East Bay. But the plethora of choice can be overwhelming.  Sure, there are restaurant listings all over the internets. And, yes, there is Yelp. But you may not want to sort thorough all of that chatter when it’s 6:30 and you’re hungry for dinner — now.

At Nosh we believed it was time for a thoughtful, curated listing of the best places for food and drink in our East Bay cities.

So we came up with a solution.

For the past several months, the Nosh editors have been working hard on a dining guide. We’ve combed and culled our reviews and stories, we’ve drawn on our own extensive experience reporting on the East Bay food scene for the past three years, and we reached out to our readers for their suggestions on the best restaurants and bars in the area.

The Nosh Guide is an authoritative, beautifully presented and functional online guide to eating and drinking in the East Bay, and it will be continually updated, keeping it dynamic and up-to-speed with new restaurant openings.

We’re currently putting the final touches on the guide, and it will premiere next month on Berkeleyside and on Nosh.

Get ready to eat better than you’ve ever eaten before.
