Beautiful Berkeleyside T-shirts and tote bags are now available to buy at the newly launched Cityside store (if you’re an Oaklander, The Oaklandside merchandise is also on offer there).
We partnered with local company Social Imprints to create the store, and to make and fulfill orders for the goods. Like us, Social Imprints is a mission-driven organization. It provides higher paying professional jobs in sales, marketing, graphic arts, customer service, accounting and production/warehouse management to recovering addicts, individuals on or off public assistance, veterans of the military, underrepresented minorities and people who are undereducated or underemployed. At last count, 80% of its employees came from their social mission.
Berkeleyside Tees currently come in two styles: the Classic — Berkeleyside’s logo printed in white on Bella + Canvas heather true royal; and the Map — the lovely Berkeley neighborhoods map, created by local designer Rob Arias, printed in white on Bella + Canvas dark heather grey. The sturdy tote also features the map on a cream-colored background.
