Nancy Rubin

Nancy Rubin has been a freelance contributing photographer for Berkeleyside since 2011. She taught at Berkeley High for 25 years, and reflected on it in her book "Ask Me if I Care: Voices from an American High School." Nancy combines a passion for photography with giving back to the community. She has taken photos for Berkeley Animal Care Services, YMCA, the California Alumni Association, Ashby Village and ProBonoPhoto. She has had solo exhibits at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging, Kaiser Richmond, West Berkeley Senior Center and the Doe Library on the UC Berkeley campus. She started HUBBA (Humans of Berkeley and the Bay Area) which is on social media. You can see more of her work on Flickr.
