Berkwood Hedge School

Now entering our 78th year, Berkwood Hedge School offers a progressive, independent, K-8 education across two campuses in the heart of Berkeley. Our Project-Based Learning, Outdoor Education, and strong academic program promotes deep and intuitive learning with an emphasis on social and environmental justice.

Two campuses—our Lower School on Bancroft Way and our Middle School in the Northside neighborhood—provide easy access to all the resources Berkeley has to offer.
