Camp Chrysalis, now in its thirty-ninth year, offers children, ages 8-17, rich experiences that combine recreation, learning, and personal growth. There are still openings in our Big Sur session this summer. Our purpose is to explore and learn as well as to play and enjoy. We develop natural science and camping skills and nurture an ethic of respect and responsibility towards these places. This summer we will be holding both in-person and online summer camps as we balance our desire to bring valuable summer camps to our community while managing a safe, in-person environment at our school. We’ve got a great schedule of camps whether your child wants to learn how to program a video game, design and code a web page, build a mobile app or learn to code with the new Raspberry Pi 4. We’ve also added a new Java Camp for kids ages 13+ who want to get a jump start on the AP Computer Science A class.

Summer Camp at Montessori Family School (Berkeley) offers non-stop opportunities for discovery, play, social interaction, Montessori learning, and fun! WoodWorks will combine EBSB’s hands-on shop classes and maker education with executive functioning coaching in one fun-packed week! Campers will plan, design, collaborate, and create projects together built from wood, metal, and other materials. They will learn essential skills for taking a creative idea and bringing it to reality, all while building friendships (off-screen!) and of course having loads of fun.

The Nature of STE(A)M

The Nature of STE(A)M camp will bring together climate science, technology, engineering, the arts, math, & the great outdoors through fun and engaging ‘maker’ education that makes a difference. Campers will develop their interest in and ability to make things, learn to turn off screens and turn on their exploration of nature and the outdoors, and forge new connections while developing gender awareness, inclusivity, and their social-emotional skills.

Aim High is a five-week, no-cost summer learning program. This year, Aim High students will participate in a fun and exciting virtual learning program where students feel confident and safe to be their whole selves. Cazadero Music Camp

Cazadero Music Camp provides a nurturing, inspirational environment for young musicians ages 10-18. For more than 60 years, Cazadero has offered a dynamic program that strikes a thoughtful balance between in-depth music education and carefree summer camp fun. Cazadero is set on 33 acres near the Russian River in Sonoma County where young musicians learn together under a canopy of spectacular redwood trees.

Each week renowned conductors from all over California and the world arrive to work with our campers, giving them an experience of a lifetime. Campers will also have a choice of musical and non-musical electives that may include jazz improvisation, mariachi, chamber music, art & crafts, nature, sports, and more! With no cell phone service, there is minimal access to electronic media.

Raskob Summer Intensive Program

Dates: Jun 21, 2021 – Jul 30, 2021

The Raskob Summer Intensive offers one or two hours of daily individual educational therapy targeted to student’s areas of academic need, for two 3-week sessions Each student will have specific academic goals in reading, writing and/or math that reflect their learning needs and desires. Instruction will be delivered by Raskob Clinic’s clinicians, who are either credentialed special education teachers or certified educational therapists. Reading and writing skills will be taught through a variety of structured literacy approaches and math will be taught using Making Math Real and other multisensory approaches. Attention to the executive function skills of time management, organization, planning, self-regulation, cognitive flexibility, and task initiation and persistence will be woven into the instructional sessions. Sessions will be designed to build students’ sense of mastery.

Students can sign up for 1 or 2 hours of individualized educational therapy between the hours of 9:00AM and 12:00 noon. The cost is $1650 for 1 hour; $3000 for 2 hours for 3 weeks of daily sessions. There are 2-three week programs available. The cost for both sessions is $3100 for 1 hour of educational therapy and $5900 for 2 hours for the 6 weeks.
