A driver struck 90-year-old Jacque Ensign as she walked on Marin Avenue near her North Berkeley home earlier this month.
The crashes took place Thursday and Friday just one block apart.
The pedestrian was crossing at Marin and Euclid avenues when the driver, who was coming down the hill, struck her in the crosswalk, police said.
As of this week, police say they still don’t know what caused the May 11 collision, which killed two people.
“It is a dangerous street,” one local resident told Berkeleyside. “It’s just sad that this occasion has made this come to people’s attention.”
On Thursday, authorities identified the individuals who died as Anthony Rollins, 64, and Ruby Edwards, 57.
